Tired but energised after a weekend in the anatomy lab in Germany with my friend and colleague Prof Holger Gassner. My dissections concentrated on understanding in detail the effects of osteotomies to “close the open roof” of the nose after hump reduction. I gained new and previously undescribed insights which I have brought back to benefit my patients. I will be writing about them in our rhinoplasty text book which is currently underway.
